From early childhood days growing up on a farm in Wisconsin and active in Boy Scouts, Matt has been an avid outdoorsman. Hiking, camping, rock climbing and mountaineering are deep passions that have formed a lifelong commitment to wilderness advocacy, education and stewardship. As a product designer for more than 20 years, Matt started making his own backpacking gear more than 10 years ago seeking to make high quality gear to fill a void in the market. The line of products under the Overland brand are the direct expression of his commitment to craftsmanship, quality and design.
Aaron brings expertise in planning, developing, and managing the delivery of exceptional products and customer experiences to the Overland family. As an avid cyclocross racer and outdoorsman at heart, Aaron's is bringing focus to the commercialization and production of the Overland products.
Mandy Levenberg is the founder and lead strategist at LEV Strategies. Mandy is a catalyst for her clients to get "unstuck" and move forward towards a stronger, authentic and more effective relationship with customers. She has an arsenal of brand marketing, positioning and research experience combined with her knack for asking the unasked questions that uncover frequently overlooked or hard to see gaps between products, brands and the consumer experience. Mandy helps clients find and leverage the sweet spots in consumer connection.
In the past four years, Gavery, a full-time civil-rights attorney, has run 40 ultramarathons. That includes five 100-milers, like the Hardrock 100 Endurance Run, in which he finished a respectable 27th last year. If logging 60 to 100 miles a week in training isn't enough, he's also a Class V kayaker who runs 50-foot waterfalls and hits the river every week often before work. Brock is an advisor and product advocate to Overland.
Production and Assembly Tech
As we grow our business from a one person operation to accommodate the growing customer orders we are looking for individuals to join the team and help manufacture and assemble key pieces of the final product.
Currently we are working on production of the Overland Hammock Suspension systems which is constructed from braided cord and requires splicing and knot tying.
